Centennial House Celebration
Harbor Habitat’s Centennial Celebration — the dedication of its 100th home and the centerpiece of its 2010 summer events — will take place noon, July 24, on the build site at 387 Butternut St. in Benton Township. Partner Family Myron Stubbs and his three children will be handed the keys to their new home at the dedication, will move in and begin their new lives. Local and state political leaders, community stakeholders and 100 Harbor Habitat Partner Families will attend.

Annual Hard Hat Ball Fundraiser
Following the Centennial Celebration on July 24, Harbor Habitat will host its seventh annual Hard Hat Ball fundraising gala at Pier 33 in St. Joseph, Mich. Guests will come together for dinner, dancing and entertainment and hear the stories of Harbor Habitat Partner Families and volunteers. Harbor Habitat is offering table sponsorships to area businesses for $1,000, which includes eight tickets to the dinner and recognition at the event. Dinner tickets cost $75. All proceeds go to support Harbor Habitat’s ministry.

Golf Outing at Harbor Shores
Golfers will join community and business leaders July 16 in Harbor Habitat’s first event of the summer, the Hard Hat Open golf outing at the Golf Club at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor. They also will be some of the first to play the full 18 holes of the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. The Hard Hat Open costs $175 per golfer or $700 for a foursome.

Harbor Habitat will also host the fourth annual NASCHAIR Challenge on Aug. 6, where local businesses compete in an office-chair race on the bluff in downtown St. Joseph to benefit Harbor Habitat.
