Jimmy Carter Work Project
Benton Harbor * Detroit * Michigan

June 19-24, 2005 the Jimmy Carter Work Project (JCWP) decended on Benton Harbor! This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for our community. It was an honor and a privilege for Benton Harbor and Harbor Habitat to be chosen to co-host this event with Detroit and Habitat Affiliates across the state of Michigan. Volunteers experienced a week of exciting hard work alongside former President Jimmy Carter and hundreds of volunteers from throughout the US and around the world. We successfully built 20 homes that week and changed the face of a neighborhood. We hope you were able to be a part of this historical event!
