Volunteer
Opportunities

Construction Opportunities
Build Days begin in April and last until November. After the Labor Day Holiday our volunteer numbers tend to drop, so please contact Brianne Bloom, the Director of Volunteer Services if you have an interest in spending some time on the job site with us.
Feed hard working volunteers
Can't
make it out on the build site... that's OK! Donate the food
for breakfast or lunch on a Saturday. Contact Brianne Bloom at 269-926-1210 or 269-449-2298 for more information.
Join a Committee
This allows a person to make a longer commitment
to Harbor Habitat than a build day. Check out Join a Committee
Volunteer at the Habitat
ReStore
The ReStore is open Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm and Friday/Saturday 10am-5pm. If you like to
find a great bargain on home goods while you volunteer, the
ReStore is the place to be. Meet our ReStore team: Operations Manager: Ernie Wilson, Retail Associates: Dannetta Moore and Bernard Hall, and ReStore Truck Driver: Troy Carter. Also, one of our Accountants, Lia Will, also helps out on Thursdays. Shop and Donate to the ReStore and help Harbor Habitat build homes! Find out
more information at Habitat ReStore by calling 926-0007.
Youth Opportunities
- Harbor High
If you are in high school and want to impact a community
check out Harbor High. This club is student-run and lead
by area youth in their high schools. For more information
contact Brianne Bloom at 926-1210 or 449-2298
- 14-17 years old
- There are endless activities you can do to support Habitat on and off the build site.
- To work on the build site you must have your parent or guardian’s permission and a Michigan Work Permit on file at the Harbor Habitat office. Contact Volunteer Coordinator to request a work permit and bring the certified permit with you to site
- Under 14 years old
- Although youth under 14 years old are not allowed
at the build site for safety reasons, there are still so many
ways you can help support Habitat for Humanity.
- Build birdhouses with your class to auction off
- Have a bake sale to help raise money to contribute building
materials, such as a window to a house
- Make lunches for our construction volunteers
- Organize other Fund Raisers in your school, youth group,
or club to help a family realize their dreams of owning a
house
